Become a part of the team
We are a non-profit organization and all of our hackathons are organized by dedicated teams of volunteers. The organization is managed by a small core team of experienced project members. For each hackathon there is a local project team as well as volunteers to help out during the event. Want to get involved? We are always happy to include new people!
Become a partner
Are you interested to become a partner of OpenHack? The concept of OpenHack is built on collaboration and we are open for all kinds of partnerships. We have sponsors for each hackathon, that help provide financial backing, technical coaching, venue and logistics etc. On top of local sponsorship we are also able to provide long term partnerships, through Engineers without borders Sweden, the foundation behind OpenHack. We are also open for community partnerships and cooperations for mutual benefits, if there is a common goal. Our aim is always to find partners who share our visions and interest.
Provide a challenge
Do you have a case for a humanitarian challenge that you feel could benefit from a technical solution? The results of our hackathons evolves around case challenges provided by external partners. Anyone can submit a proposal for a challenge, regardless of if you represent an NGO/aid organisation, work for a social actor or want to contribute as a private actor. The challenges for each hackathon is selected based on subject relevans, social impact, technical depth and the credibility of the case contributor. We will gladly provide our assistance to help identify and produce a challenge, based on a case or problem background.
